Breaks Over!!
Well, well well.. I know some of y’all were wondering why the hell I stopped posting. While some of y’all couldn’t care less. Well, I’m back!! Since the last time mad shit has changed. My situation with Ohhiphop has ended. We were way above our heads. I was brought into the situation to assist my good homies. We tried to make an impact in a very difficult arena. There’s alot of things we weren’t aware of going in, that forced us to close shop. I look at it like a learning experience. I got to build wit some good dudes, and learned what it takes to be a boss. I’m not sure it was any of our dreams, which made walking away so easy. Besides the Ohhiphop thing, my son is getting bigger by the moment. He’s now walking and just recently started saying the word “GO”. His personality is also starting to show as well. That’s my boy. As for the music, if u know me, you know that’s the only constant in my life (besides eating and breathing). I’ve been goin extremely hard wit the beats. I’m at the point now where bangers are more frequent. I’m starting to develop my own sound. It’s something that could take years, and I’ve managed to do in a year. I’m full time wit it so I have an advantage. Last week I finally went in the studio to start recording for my new project. The two joints we knocked out are amazing. I say we cause I have some guest spots on there, something I haven’t done in the past. I’ve taken on the daunting task of trying to produce all the songs on this upcoming project. This will either be a complete success or a overwhelming failure. So far, so good. I’m technically 40% percent complete. The beats are all finished and I’ve written all the songs except for one. I’m looking at a summer release. Im not gonna give a release date cause 9 times out of 10, that shit comes back to bite every artist in the ass. So for now, I’ll just say expect a new project from me by this summer. I was playing wit a couple of different ideas as far as the format, finally deciding on the current format I’ve assembled. For a minute I contemplated doing a compilation album, sorta like a Pete Rock Soul Survivor (DJ Khaled “we the best” for all y’all young boys) type album. But, I dont affiliate with alot of artist. Ultimately, I think my decision will pan out. I’ve gained complete confidence in my beat making ability. Especially since my engineer is a beast from another planet. Anyway I’m not gonna keep going on, tellin everyone how my project is gonna be the best thing since pants wit pockets lol. This time around I wanna let y’all in on my music making process. Stay tuned for exclusive beat making videos and footage from the studio sessions for this upcoming project. Also lookout for new songs leading up to the project.
